Hidden City Quarterly was born from lives of Baltimorean angst; lives spent crushed between the pages of the city that reads, bleeds and makes claims about being the greatest. We were brought together in this strange city by friends and mentors— gatekeepers to the city and its quiet creative culture. Our lives (our lines) are easily crossed with other places— other cities where one of the world’s oldest art forms takes a backseat to the new and the shiny.
But great work is not outdated; it exists, still, in the creases of our towns. Here we present to you a new publication, which intends to utilize every available resource to create a virtual tunnel, connecting those hidden artistic communities which might otherwise be inaccessible to the people who need them.
We are Hidden City Quarterly and we seek to publish contemporary work from the best voices and greatest artists we can find. Join us in creating and maintaining a community which will give art and literature the attention it deserves.
